This book is a collection of the various short stories Luc Sante has published over the years. If you have any nostalgia or curiosity of what it was like to be in NYC in the late 70s and 80s this book is a must. It takes you through the various trials and tribulations of living penniless in one of the most culturally rich cities of the world, a time when NY was at it’s most creative probably. If you like Jim Jarmausch’s Permanent Vacation, this book would be very complimentary to you in understand that world from first hand experience.
